April hail took out half the neighborhood. Every door got knocked but ours — we called Redbud because they did my mother’s roof in 2015. Cole met the adjuster on the roof, walked him shingle by shingle, and the claim covered what it should have. New roof on in a day and a half. They magnet-swept the yard twice and I still haven’t found a nail.

Two other companies quoted me a full replacement off that same hailstorm. Redbud got on the roof and said the damage was cosmetic — fixed two pipe boots for a few hundred bucks and told me to keep my deductible in my pocket. When this roof does age out, there is exactly one company I’m calling.

Cosmetic hail pays somebody’s boat note every spring, Marcus — just not ours. See you in a few years.

Water spot on the dining room ceiling two weeks before we listed the house. Redbud found the flashing gap, fixed it the same visit, and handed me a photo report our realtor attached straight to the disclosures. Buyers’ inspector called the roof “the best-documented item in the file.”

The November wind event peeled back a whole section over our kitchen at 9 p.m. Redbud’s tarp crew was on the roof by 11:30 in the dark and the rain held out of the house. Replacement scheduled around our insurance timeline, done in a day. The tarp didn’t cost us a dime since they did the work.

Roof looks fantastic and the price matched the written scope to the dollar. Four stars only because the start date slipped a week — the hailstorm backlog was brutal and they were upfront about it, but I’d planned vacation days around it. Communication otherwise was the best of any contractor we’ve used.

Fair, Gail. Storm season stretches us and we’d rather slip a start date than rush your roof — but we hear you on the vacation days.

We interviewed four companies for a full replacement on our 1978 ranch. Redbud was the only one whose quote listed the shingle line, the underlayment brand, the venting plan, and what plywood would cost if they found rot — which they did, two sheets, at exactly the listed price. Zero surprises. That piece of paper is why they won the job.

A door-knocker told my 79-year-old dad his roof was “totaled” and asked for his insurance info on the porch. I sent Redbud for a second opinion. Wade documented the whole roof, found minor wind damage on one slope, and helped Dad file a claim for exactly that — about a fifth of what the knocker was chasing. These are the good guys.

New gutters with the leaf guards after fifteen falls of ladder-climbing. Crew ran them seamless in the driveway, matched the fascia paint, and re-pitched the back run that had always overflowed onto the patio. First big rain since: patio dry, gutters silent. Should have done this a decade ago.

Bought our first house in the spring. Redbud’s pre-purchase inspection flagged the roof at “three to five years left” with photos to prove it, and the sellers credited us most of a replacement at closing. When we cash that in, we know exactly who’s doing the work.
